I'm sure it will do just fine, but IMO nothing can top the original with Raul Julia and Brian Dennehy and HArrison Ford. Bonnie Bedelia played Ford's wife and Greta Saatchi played the dead woman in flash backs.

Just finished the premiere. It's all very competent and I am intrigued by the murder mystery and so will continue watching, BUT I have really hard time connecting with any of these rich asshole prosecutors.

Jakey flashes a half-toosh in a sex scene and is generally acting his tooshie off. Of course he had to show his abs off in a swimming scene as well.

Abandoned. Like someone left for dead. She plans her suicide... until the dream begins. In the dream, the destroyer is destroyed. That's a dream worth living for.

I hope it's better than the Fatal Attraction series which was dreadful.

This was so unnecessary. And WTF is up with the remakes, Jakey? Road House, and now this? Fine. We know he can act. But this is bullshit. And he still can't open a movie in a theater and get a decent box office. He's made some good movies. I like Southpaw, I liked the one with Ann Hathaway where he ran around naked. I even liked the Tom Ford movie. But this is not my idea of a good remake opportunity. Harrison Ford, Raul Julia, Alfre Woodard, Paul WInfield.

“Jake’s 50 Load Weekend” would certainly broaden his appeal…he really needs to explore family-friendly content like this.

They couldn't find another black actress closer to home to play the judge? She's like 70% British accent and 30% Chicago accent, which makes for a crazy combo to listen to.

Other than that, a gripping second episode, looking forward to the rest. Jakey takes his shirt off at the arraignment and takes a post-arraignment / pre-trial shower in jail, which I don't think I've ever seen before. But you gotta show off those muscles, it's in the contract!

I watched the first two episodes - I enjoyed it.

Jake can't get a job if he doesn't agree to show his body. I'm OK with that.

I binged it over a few nights and once you got past how utterly unbelievable *every* aspect was it was enjoyable enough and not especially taxing.

I saw the film version once when it was shown on TV back in the 90s and had a feeling I remembered the ending but naturally the tv version changed the ending.

I am weirded out as fuck to see Jake as the parent of adult age children. He is still "Donnie Darko" to me.

I couldn't finish it and was shocked to find out it got renewed. Hopefully they focus on other characters in the second season because Jake's family was a bust.
