by Anonymousreply 3March 14, 2024 6:23 PM

If you are a Mississippi woman who thinks that abortion is NOT on the ballot in Mississippi,

Roger Wiker is a traditional Republican who had been absorbed into the MAGA fold.

Voted twice to acquit Trump's Impeachments, and voted for every Trump/McConnell Supreme Court nominee who got us in this mess.

Send money to his Democratic opponent: Ty Pinkins.

While we work on DC statehood, residents of DC who used to live in a state should be allowed to continue to vote in that state for the purposes of federal elections.

Sound strange? Well, why is that if a person moves from Georgia to France they can continue to vote as a Georgian In presidential elections for the rest of their life, but if they move to DC they are immediately disenfranchised?

(This has to to be one of the most egregious examples of remaining structural racism at the federal level and I don’t understand I seem to be the only person noticing)

[quote]When the 2024 Blue Tsunami rises

Don’t you feel a little bit of shame when you type something like this?

First of all, your tactic to achieve your goal is wrong. You want to make people scared of losing something, not make them confident about winning something. Didn’t you watch the Carousel episode of Mad Men?

Secondly, simply giving money doesn’t do anything other than enrich advertisers. Do you know how much money Biden raised? Do i see any ads telling me why to vote for him? No! I am barraged by a constant stream of ads with an aged infirm man asking me to donate my money so he can make more ads asking others to donate more money. Joe Biden is the Panhadler-in-Chief. This election is being surrendered to Trump because of tactics like this. There will be no blue tsunami. At best, there will be a blue levee against a raging Trump deluge. But hey, at least you did your part helping enrich cynical wealthy people.

by Anonymousreply 30June 10, 2024 12:37 PM

r30, what a lovely AI Troll post. It hits all the negative talking point. If cash were not so important in campaigns, why did the Crow's and Leo's and Federalist Society hacks purchase Citizens United?

North Dakota's Kevin Cramer has voted twice not to convict Trump, and he voted for every nomination put forward by the Trump/McConnell/Leo/Crow Court. He made the overturning of Roe possible. For only these reasons, he needs to be replaced by a Democrat. Abortion rights are on every state's ballot where a Republican Senator is up for re-election (or, in the cases of Indiana and Utah, filling a Republican vacancy).

North Dakota is a purple state.

by Anonymousreply 31June 10, 2024 1:25 PM

North Dakota is not a purple state. It has voted for Democrats just five times and two of those times were for the same person (Wilson and FDR). The last Democrat it voted for was LBJ.

Again, why do Biden people lie. Do they not think we can look these things up?

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 32June 10, 2024 1:38 PM

by Anonymousreply 33June 10, 2024 1:38 PM

by Anonymousreply 34June 10, 2024 3:54 PM

r32, and yet there is Heidi Heitkamp.

by Anonymousreply 35June 10, 2024 5:17 PM

This is wrong: of course DC residents can vote for President “Sound strange? Well, why is that if a person moves from Georgia to France they can continue to vote as a Georgian In presidential elections for the rest of their life, but if they move to DC they are immediately disenfranchised?”—nope.

by Anonymousreply 36June 10, 2024 5:24 PM

How is Lucas Kunce doing against Miss Josh Hawley? Choice is on the ballot in Missouri, hopefully that will help Dem turnout

by Anonymousreply 37June 10, 2024 5:25 PM

There seems to be much delusion here. The only issue: can Democrats keep 50 seats? They are not going to flip any Republican seat.

There’s a much greater likelihood of the Democrats taking back the House while the Republicans flip the Senate—your best case scenario..

We shall see in the year of pissed off women. Kansas, Ohio both flipping on all state issues. Senators are all state votes.

by Anonymousreply 41June 10, 2024 6:35 PM

You come back in November and let us know—a state referendum on abortion will have no bearing on a Senate race—at least to the degree that an incumbent Republican will lose. Not in this political climate.

by Anonymousreply 42June 10, 2024 6:45 PM

Sweetie, EVERY Republican Senate seat is a State referendum on abortion. That is the point as we'll as no state has two Senators. Each state has 100 Senators. Cramer in ND and that Plantation whore Blackburn in TN affect me just as much as my own Senators. That's why donating to Katrina in ND makes sense.

by Anonymousreply 43June 10, 2024 8:13 PM

Both Cramer and Blackburn will win by several % points. And that’s the truth.

by Anonymousreply 44June 10, 2024 9:20 PM

The republicans don’t even want access to contraception. I have no idea what red voting people have been watching that they want to destabilize male/female relations to this extreme. Doesn’t any “conservative” voter believe in science? Don’t any of them believe in personal options?

by Anonymousreply 45June 10, 2024 9:38 PM

No, and no.

by Anonymousreply 46June 10, 2024 9:40 PM

Thank you for the correction R36. You are correct, DC was given three electoral college votes in 1961. They do not however get to vote in any Senate races, which ex-pats continue to be able to do.

by Anonymousreply 47June 10, 2024 9:43 PM

r44, that's an opinion.

by Anonymousreply 48June 10, 2024 10:04 PM

Oh—it is a fact. And I’d take any bet against that outcome….because I would win$$.

Anyone interested in spending time or money on a senate race should direct their efforts to Montana, Nevada, Ohio, PA and Maryland. Otherwise you’re just circling the drain…

by Anonymousreply 49June 10, 2024 11:00 PM

[quote]And I’d take any bet against that outcome….because I would win$$.

“He said I don’t matter? Am I getting this right?”

by Anonymousreply 51June 11, 2024 12:04 AM

R49, the 2024 election will not only be a referendum on Trump, but the entire Republican Party including the corruption of the Supreme Court. America has seen Biden and the Democrats hold the rudder of state while The Republicans in Congress have spent the past 4 years destroying America. But I can understand why you are unhappy that Democrats are sending money to "safe" districts.

by Anonymousreply 52June 11, 2024 12:49 AM

R52 your last sentence makes no sense. That’s the opposite of what I wrote. Nutz

by Anonymousreply 53June 11, 2024 1:18 AM

What kind of support are Republicans running for Senate getting from DC and the RNC. Will they have sufficient funds to run their campaigns when Trump’s need for defense funds is paramount.

by Anonymousreply 54June 12, 2024 4:27 AM

R54, some of them are rich douchebags who are funding their own campaigns (Hovde, McCormick)

by Anonymousreply 55June 12, 2024 5:08 AM

Hovde is not up for reelection, douche bag Cramer is in ND.

While Katrina Christiansen is out fundraising Evangelical Christian Douche Bag Cramer, Cramer has access to the Republican Dark Money Citizens United fire hose of cash that will not donate to the Trump Legal Fees Machine.

I've donated to Jacky. I like her.

by Anonymousreply 58June 12, 2024 4:06 PM

She’s the incumbent most likely to lose, for now….

by Anonymousreply 59June 12, 2024 4:13 PM

Jacky has a huge war chest and is liked in Nevada as a STEM scientist and programmer. She has delivered.

She will not lose to the criminal NV GOP candidate that Trump would not take a picture next to because he is so disfigured. And a vet, and we know how Trump hates disfigured vets. Trump was far away from NV when he posted his endorsement of the sad good guy candidate of the criminal NV GOP. He is a supporter of a national ban on abortion. He will lose.

by Anonymousreply 60June 12, 2024 5:06 PM

^ Yep, Sam Brown is a hardliner on abortion. I think that will hurt him

by Anonymousreply 61June 12, 2024 5:25 PM

You THINK?

Nevada has, practically, an all women legislature.

This is a classic example of Abortion being on the ballot by the Senate race.

by Anonymousreply 62June 12, 2024 6:06 PM

You underestimate Brown’s story as a campaign positive. That is all.

by Anonymousreply 63June 12, 2024 6:07 PM

r59, which is not very..

by Anonymousreply 64June 12, 2024 6:20 PM

R64 My only point is that to overestimate the likelihood of reelection by the weakest Democratic incumbents is a recipe for disaster —especially if valuable time and money is spent on pie in the sky efforts against comparatively safe Republican incumbents. It will end up as a shit show for control of the Senate. It’s a path that follows the horrible Hillary campaign mistakes of 2016.

by Anonymousreply 65June 12, 2024 6:28 PM

^ Except that's not what's happening. The most vulnerable Dems are raising tons of money. Tester and Sherrod Brown are raking in $$$. Rosen hasore $$$ than Sam Brown. People are focusing on these races and donating to them

by Anonymousreply 66June 12, 2024 6:35 PM

If you live in NV, you cannot say that Jacky is a weak candidate. She is what Republicans fear most, a solid middle to liberal Jewish female who has produced for Biden and NV.

Jacky is not weak and no matter how many of the criminal NV GOP repeat that disinformation, it will not be true.

It's like me repeating that the NV GOP is a criminal organization. Only the courts can vindicate the criminal NV GOP.

by Anonymousreply 67June 12, 2024 6:42 PM

Sam Brown is going to lose to Jacky Rosen. As stated by R61 and R62, his anti-abortion stance will be the key. He may dance around the language but he's all for a total ban. That, and Trump won't get within a hundred miles of a disfigured war vet.

by Anonymousreply 68June 12, 2024 6:44 PM

R66 upthread there are multiple posts by wishful thinkers expecting to flip seats in places like ND and TN…

by Anonymousreply 69June 12, 2024 6:47 PM

^ Okay, but donating to candidates in TN and ND doesn't mean you can't donate to Brown, Tester, Rosen and others as well.

by Anonymousreply 70June 12, 2024 6:50 PM

I didn’t say that.

by Anonymousreply 80June 12, 2024 7:53 PM

R69, because America has discovered that each state does not have 2 Senators, in the. Age of Dobbs, and the corrupt Supreme Court, each state has100 Senators and is vested in every one.

Send Katrina cash, she is All of our candidate.

by Anonymousreply 81June 12, 2024 8:12 PM

each state has100 Senators and is vested in every one …typing it over and over again doesn’t make it accurate. From a purely strategic standpoint, it makes less sense than even your posts.

by Anonymousreply 82June 12, 2024 8:31 PM

More than 3/4 of those 100 seats ain’t ever gonna flip. There’s only several at the margins that will ever move back and forth between the parties under the current “realignment.” Your energy is better spent there, at those margins, until the next realignment comes along. It’s basic political strategy. Poli Sci 101.

by Anonymousreply 83June 12, 2024 8:41 PM

r82, it is a change in philosophy that Republicans have known for decades.

Are you saying that Dark Money does not go out of state?

You are being willfully ignorant that every senator who acquitted Trump twice, every senator who approved every Trump SC nominee does not affect all of us. They have.

These are the reasons that Act Blue exists.

by Anonymousreply 84June 12, 2024 10:40 PM

You’ve misread my argument completely. Sorry.

by Anonymousreply 85June 12, 2024 10:44 PM

I do not care if I misread your tortured argument.

It is important for Democrats to get involved in ALL Senate races as ALL Senate races change all of our lives in a way that the 435 Representative's, who all change out every two years, do not.

by Anonymousreply 86June 12, 2024 11:33 PM

I wish you well. The rest of us will have to live with Republican majority in the Senate with that kind of thinking. Come back in November and let us know — TIA.

by Anonymousreply 87June 12, 2024 11:40 PM

by Anonymousreply 88June 12, 2024 11:42 PM

With Chevron Reversal. A HUGE FUCKING DEAL, and it means Judges can Legislate from the bench and guarantee Plantation/Corporate PROFITS.

With the Corrupt Supreme Court doning all this CORRUPT SHIT,

Biden isn't running against Trump, WE are running against Corrupt Republican Senators.

A Democratic Super Majority in the Senate means that Trump's SIX judges are subject to REMOVAL on Day one.

Trump truly is the puppet. He is the diversion to the dismantling of America.

[quote]Why are you trying to get people to throw away their donations on lost causes instead of donating to races that could be won?

Why are you showing polls that are incorrect. The movement is for Trump supporting Senators to be replaced.

The point of sending them money is to validate their challenges for defective Republican Senators who made our living Trump hell possible.

McConnell, Leo and Crow all knew the path to corrupting the government by Plantation Capitalists was through the Senate. The path to correcting the government is through the Senate.

Those donors are not throwing away cash, theyy are buying hope in the future.

Also, considering pendulum swinging, the big swing back to a Democratic run government will be in 2026. But we must make inroads now, just like Republicans in 2008.

Collin (TX). Katrina(ND), Lucas(MO), Gloria(TN) are all gaining fundraising steam.

All are entering the margin of error in Republican's beloved Polls.

All need cash.

If you hate Cruz, send Collin cash.

If you hate quiet Trumpers who enabled Trump and the Supreme Court and the destruction of women's healthcare made possible by Kevin Cramer, send Katrina cash.

If you hate Republican elite, blowhard and Congressional Sprinter, Josh Hawley, send money to Lucas.

If you hate Bible verse posting, Home Economics gradiate, and Plantation Representative, send Gloria some cash.

These 4 seats can shift the Senate closer to a Senate Democratic Super Majority.

Katrina's polling shows different. Sorry Trump Troll.

Mean while there are 22 seats that are currently held by Democrats being defended, some in deep red states like WV, Montana and Ohio.

The Senate is very likely to flip to Republican control and the House is likely to flip to Democratic control.

by Anonymousreply 128July 22, 2024 10:35 PM

[quote]The Senate is very likely to flip to Republican control

Nope, The pendulum will continue to swing Democratic, with Criminal Trump and Masturbator Vance topping the Republican ticket for the first election since Dobbs. Dobbs, the corrupt Supreme Court and Project 2025 will sink Republicans.

by Anonymousreply 129July 23, 2024 1:09 AM

Now that Harris is most certainly going to be the Dem's nominee, we will start to see the attack on red state senators who got us here. Just before early voting.

It was also magnificent that Nicolle Wallace had a LONG segment with Sally Yates. The race for the Democratic AG is ON!

by Anonymousreply 130August 1, 2024 5:19 PM

Gerrymandering doesn't matter in statewide races. I'd love to see a Black man elected to the Senate from Mississippi.

by Anonymousreply 131August 1, 2024 5:28 PM

We will lose the Senate seat in West Virginia to the former Republican governor who is running for the vacancy Manchin created. So in order to keep what we have we have to flip a seat. There is a vacancy in Maryland where the Democrat retired. Now, the former Republican Governor, Hogan is running against a Black Woman. We need to keep that seat. Those are two I am focused on. Then, Arizona. Lunatic Kari Lake is running against Ruben Gallegos. He is a member of Congress and has a great record. Kari is crazy. Hopefully she has worn out her welcome in Arizona. Now. Rick Scott the Skeletor from Florida is running for re election. He's running against a white woman. Don't know much about her but she seems to be running a good campaign. She needs $$$. In Texas, Turd Cruz is running for re-election and he MUST be defeated. Michigan has a tight race but Slotkin is getting a lot of support and Sherrod Brown in Ohio is running a tight race and needs help. Tester needs help in Montana. So roll up your sleeves.

by Anonymousreply 132August 1, 2024 5:37 PM

EXACTLY R131!

North Dakota, Texas, Mississippi Missouri, can definitely put a Democrat in the Senate.

by Anonymousreply 133August 1, 2024 5:38 PM

R132 here. As tempting as it is to pour money into trying to defeat Cruz and Scott, I'd focus on Maryland, Arizona, Ohio, Montana, and Michigan. I think that covers it.

by Anonymousreply 134August 1, 2024 5:41 PM

Thank you, r132 /34, for chiming in on the conventional wisdom.

With 2024 being elections swung by Dobbs and Supreme Court corruption, I believe that we will see more change in the Senate since 1980s.

And as for the cash, these Senate races can ALL benefit from the windfall of campaign cash, since Harris the candidate. Personally, I am sending cash to North Dakota's Katrina Christiansen, who is going after Heidi Heitkamp's old seat.

It was BLUE just before Trump.

North Dakota is more like Minnesota, not Kristi Noem Dog Killing South Dakota.

There is lots of grass roots cash to go around. Republivans never thought they would have to defend a Deb Fischer in 2024 whe all of Trump's money is going to the RNC and then to his legal fees.

I have TWO Senators from my state, but the other 98 effect me just as much.

I contrubute cash to the 100 Senatord who will not fuck up the Supreme Court and who will restore Roe.

you know, people talk about Josh Shapiro and the whole Israel thing but what I have not yet seen on corporate media is the intense, frantic activity going on behind the scenes where the Pro Israeli hardliners are going after Democratic members of Congress who are being accused of "caving in" to the pro Palestinian elements. They're having some success too. Cori Bush and that guy from NYC Bowman, are gone. They got primaried. The Republicans are going to try to use Josh Shapiro as a wedge against Harris. Right now. They're below the radar campaign strategy is to divide, of course.

For years Israeli leaders have made what I used to call "pilgrimages" to the U.S. to lobby for the arms and the financial support of the U.S. Not only through our government but through a network of non profit support groups. Now this is not unique. There are plenty of wealthy Middle Eastern groups who send money and support to Muslim organizations in areas of conflict. But the Israeli lobby is very entrenched and they're pros at this, much better than the naturally insular Middle Eastern groups.

I first because aware of it, when I attended a local luncheon for business leaders to meet Shimon Peres, back in the early 80's. He was a very attractive effective promoter for his country. I overheard his handlers talking about his packed schedule where he was meeting with various "donors" and would speak at a synagogue, etc. He was really working. There are "interest sections " in this country supporting all kinds of foreign groups. But rarely talked about until suddenly we read that certain Arab groups were sending money to the Middle East before 9/11 or something like that. My point is that the Neo Con intellectual cabal that got us into a phony war in Iraq thanks to Dick Cheney, are still out here raising hell and promoting a wider war involving Lebanon and Iran. It was always their goal and Netanyahu's been in bed with them for decades.

by Anonymousreply 142August 7, 2024 2:56 PM

are so important. THEY are the stress test for Republican corruption.

I hope they follow Kentucky Democrat Amy McGrath and if they lose, they continue to run for 2030. Amy McGrath lost to Mitch, but she has been running for his seat ever since. She has a war chest and is ready to be elected.

The times they are a changing.

Lucas Kunce just lost his race against Josh Hawley by being pushed to endorse Kamala Harris and then mealy mouth and weasel his way to not run with her.

Unknown candidates who do not embrace the national ticket go LOSE.

He had his chance. He should have talked with Claire McCaskill.

Sen. Jon Tester, one of the nation’s most vulnerable Democratic senators, said he is not endorsing Kamala Harris for president because he contended his GOP opponent in Montana wants to nationalize their race.

“This race needs to be about Montana,” Tester told me about his bid against Republican Tim Sheehy. “My opponent doesn’t want it to be about Montana. He wants it to be about national (issues). But it needs to be about Montana because he doesn’t know shit about Montana.”

Tester also said he supports the GOP proposal to bar undocumented immigrants from voting, something already illegal, but doesn’t like the House Republican effort to tie that plan to a bill keeping the government open past Sept. 30.

“I’m not crazy about it being on the CR,” he said, referring to the stop-gap funding bill known as a continuing resolution.

[quote] Recent public polls have shown Hawley leading by double-digit margins, and The Cook Political Report rates the contest as "solid Republican." But polling by GQR, which describes itself as one of the world's premier opinion research and strategic consulting firm, for Kunce's campaign, which was shared exclusively with Newsweek, shows a relatively tight race.

R211, what bullshit claiming a run for Senate is not a national race. Well, it is a FEDERAL race with all the implications of the two party system.

Is Tester trying to be the new Manchin?

Bullshit.

Iowa does not have a Red State Senate race, but Iowa is moving toward Harris.

It is an organic shift as neither Chuck Grassley nor Joni Ernst are running this year.

Let us not forget that Iowa Governor Kimmy is a never Trumper.

The Florida senate race is within 1 point. The abortion amendment will help Debbie Mucarsel-Powell.

Colin Allred is within 4 points of Ted Cruz in Texas. I think Allred will do even better than Beto O'Rourke. Democrats are now investing in the race.

It appears that the movement to a Democratic Senate Supermajority is happening.

Kamala needs to do more with her SM than shore up Obama Care.

by Anonymousreply 220September 17, 2024 4:02 PM

Interesting article about three of the races noted above.

Bottom line, send Katrina Christiansen, Lucas Kunce and Dan Osborne some campaign cash.

They are closing in and do not have the huge machine, or Cheney endorsement, Colin Allred has in Texas.

Here in the DFW area, I just saw a Ted Cruz campaign ad for the first time. He accuses Colin Allred of supporting men in women's sports and men in women's bathrooms. That's all the unlikeable bastard could come up with at this point in the race. Reeks of desperation to me. Those tightening poll numbers must have been a wakeup call that he isn't coasting to an easy victory. Can't run off to Cancun now, Ted. Gotta get off that slovenly ass of yours and fight for the Senate seat like any other candidate.

An ad for Colin Allred, with the slogan "Stop Ted Cruz's Abortion Ban" also aired and highlighted his role in supporting the state's extreme abortion laws. I guess we'll have at least one competitive statewide race in this election cycle.

CNN trying to put their thumb on the scale and preserve the GOP Senate majority

[quote] A senior adviser for Alsobrooks told CNN that she was unaware of the problem and that her attorneys are working with both Washington and Prince George’s County, Maryland, to resolve the issue.

[quote] Alsobrooks saved nearly $14,000 in taxes between 2005 and 2017 on her northeast Washington property by using tax exemptions meant for the district’s primary residents, lower income residents and senior citizens, according to property tax bills reviewed by CNN.

Dan Osborne was on The Weekend. He looks good to win Nebraska over Deb Fischer.

But It seems that we have another Joe Manchin/Kyrsten Sinema in formation.

He wants to start an Independent Party Caucus in the Senate. I like him, but he is a dumb shit when it comes to government operations.

Is he going to give up the possibility of any and all committee assignments because he chooses not to caucus with either party? He needs a talk with Nancy.

I really want to believe Allred has a shot at beating Cruz. Mainly because I don't think the Republican party leaders in Texas like Cruz. But Texas is so fucking corrupt I don't see Allred winning I don't see Rick Scott being defeated in Florida either. With the hurricanes disrupting everything they can commit fraud and no one will question it. I'm worried about Maryland and Ohio too. Tell me I'm worrying unnecessarily. Please.

by Anonymousreply 246October 8, 2024 1:16 PM

Looks like Sherrod Brown is in trouble.

by Anonymousreply 247October 8, 2024 7:03 PM

Of course I want Kamala to win and the Democrats controlling both the Senate and House. I believe the Harris/Walz ticket will be successful, despite the hype of how 'close' the race is. They've put together quite the coalition that recognizes the threat Donald Trump poses to the country if given a second term. Their positive campaign and message of moving forward seems to be resonating with the segments of the electorate needed to win.

Right now though, I think we can easily win back a majority in the House because Republicans have been so inept and ineffective. The process of finding a new speaker was chaotic and they ended up with Mike Johnson, who is just awful. Then you have the disputes between MAGA and extreme MAGA factions.

The Senate feels out of reach. We knew the map would be more favorable to Republicans this cycle. With a number of red state Democratic incumbents locked in tight races, I want to have hope, but so much has to come together for Democrats to stay in charge. As in prior elections, the "Trump-approved" Senate candidates are horrible overall, which helps, but it will still be challenging.

As a Texan, it would be great to see Ted Cruz lose his seat to Colin Allred. Cruz underperforms compared to other statewide Republicans and it was close the last time with Beto. Maybe this will be the opportunity to finally throw him out.

by Anonymousreply 248October 8, 2024 8:34 PM

OK. We will definitely lose West VA because Manchin is retiring and the incumbent governor, a Republican is running and he will win. I think we'll lose Tester in Montana and Sherrod Brown in Ohio, too. I'm watching Maryland. Don't know how it will break. Do we dare dream we can win Florida and dump Rick Scott? Or Cruz in Texas. I believe we could if the election was free and fair. But the level of corruption in both states is staggering, and as I Recall, Paxton, the attorney general in Texas said Beto would have won except he made sure those votes weren't counted. Without the Senate we will not be able to get reforms for SCOTUS or anything else we need.

[quote] The memo underscores just why Montana is the most vulnerable state for Democrats. Sheehy led Tester by 4 points, 48 to 44 percent, in SLF’s October poll of the race — a slightly smaller edge than in some recent public polls. Republicans have seen Tester’s vote share drop just 2 points since August, but they’ve had him down in the last four polls.

[quote] Democrats continue to publicly express optimism that Tester can prevail. And because they are still dumping resources into the race, the memo notes that “it’s too early to declare victory and shift resources elsewhere.” Sheehy is also polling 9 points behind Trump.

I think we're OK in Ohio. I think Brown is inching ahead of Moreno. But I am worried about Hogan in Maryland, that porcine POS asshole, and I am worried about Tester losing to some asshole in Montana. We have lost West Virginia and that's a shame because the fat fuck who is replacing Manchin is a real pig who rarely ever goes to work as governor, and he will be a disaster as Senator, even for a Republican. We're in a position where we have to flip one and hold everything else in order to stay even in the Senate. Texas and Florida are too corrupt to allow a Dem to win, however, if anyone loses it will be Cruz because even the Republican Party leadership in Texas hates him.

by Anonymousreply 267October 14, 2024 7:57 PM

Oh, how I hope enough people dislike that bastard Ted Cruz to throw him out of the Senate. Hell, his Senate colleagues don't even like him. If it happened, there are two things I'm certain of. Colin Allred would be an excellent Senator and the Governor and his rubber-stamp Republican legislature will introduce new "election integrity" laws meant to make the electoral process more restrictive than it is now.
