What would the gay community be like today if the TQ+ hadn’t become party of it?

Would HRC and GLAAD and other gay and lesbian organizations have remained gay and fought to further gay rights? Could gay rights have gone beyond marriage equality? There are so many possibilities? Maybe the federal government could have passed a law to help gays seeking asylum from places like Uganda. Maybe there could have been specific healthcare initiatives that could have been enacted to help gays and lesbians. Who knows.

Imagine the power marginalized groups could have if they supported one another instead of bending over backwards to adopt the hatred and bigotry of the dominant culture.

R4 Tell me about it. I saw this year’s lineup of HRC’s annual list of “transgender people lost to deadly violence.” Honest to god it looked like a Waffle House beauty pageant. It was hideous. They have nothing in common with gays.

Definitely more popular and accepted.

Well, the side-eye from otherwise supportive people would be less noticeable.

The phrase "Gay & Lesbian" would actually be a thing!
