An update on my rescue dog Oscar

You might remember my rescue dog, Oscar. When I picked him up from a Whole Foods parking lot, he was covered in matted fur and fleas. Six weeks on, he is doing pretty well. I took him in for a urinalysis and bloodwork because he slurps a great amount of water and pees on the carpet. Incredibly, it all came back fine. He's also lost two pounds on his balanced, gourmet diet. He gets a daily helping of rice, broth, and pumpkin along with a dry dog food. The only thing is that compared to my original rescue dog Tiger, Oscar is very stupid.

OP, you are a good 'un! I remember your Oscar thread and am thrilled to hear your good news!

Stupid dogs can be very cute, so that's just fine. 🐶

Does he still pee all over the carpet? They have those male wrap pads….

Yes, I got the wraps for him, r4. The vet discouraged me from using them because they can cause a rash. But he only wears them a few hours in the evenings with us before he goes to bed. He doesn't pee on the hardwood floors, where he sleeps and spends the day.
