So to this judge this white collar crime is worse than and violent attack on the police and our democracy?

[quote] U.S. District Court Judge Ana C. Reyes, a Biden appointee born in Uruguay, wasn’t impressed by Littlejohn’s prowess. She said from the bench that she’d sentenced six people involved with the Jan. 6 uprising. None got prison time. Those defendants, Reyes explained, got caught up in the moment, whereas Littlejohn “carefully planned” actions that were “also a threat to our democracy.” “I have reacted so strongly to your case,” Reyes said. “It engenders the same fear that January 6th does, that we have gotten to point in our society in which otherwise law-abiding, rational people believe that they have no choice but to break the law to further their political agendas.”

Judge Reyes probably has filed some shady tax returns herself, hence the need for her to make an example of this guy.

Follow the money (and the tax returns).

Littlejohn was in the wrong to release Trump's taxes, that is illegal but to sentence him to five years in prison and three years probation plus a fine of $5000 seems excessive considering all normal and moral candidates release their taxes themselves. Citizen should have a right to know what their candidates are up to.

Now Littlejohn was completely wrong to release Jeff Bezo's taxes. I don't care much for Bezo and buy as little as I can from Amazon, Bezo has a right to privacy. He isn't running for office.

No. What he exposed is the wealthy and powerful who use all the loopholes and tax shelters that the status quo provides. They are a cancer on society. Biden needs to pardon him.

Oh look. Another Trump thread.

by Anonymousreply 5October 17, 2024 10:54 PM

He was convicted of one felony and Trump was convicted of 34. And is running for PRESIDENT.

Somebody has a photo of Donald Trump naked with his tiny, ugly dick and they need to leak it ASAP. There has to be something out there. You can’t scrub the entire planet.

[quote] Biden needs to pardon him.

If Biden isn't pardoning his own son, he isn't going to pardon this guy.
